The core idea
A niche edit — sometimes called a "curated link" — means placing your link inside an article that's already live and already indexed by search engines, rather than publishing something new to hold it. Instead of writing a fresh page, we find one that already exists, already fits your topic, and add a link to it.
Why the existing page matters
A brand-new page starts with no history: no age, no existing links pointing to it, nothing search engines have crawled before. An already-published article that's been live for a while typically carries some of its own standing already. A niche edit borrows that, instead of waiting for a new page to build any of it up on its own.
How the process works
- We identify a live article whose subject matter genuinely relates to your target page.
- We work with the site owner or editor to add a sentence or reference that links to your page.
- You see the exact wording and anchor text before it's added.
- Once it's live, you get the direct URL to confirm it yourself.
What we won't do
We won't force a link into a sentence where it doesn't belong just to get a placement done. If we can't find a genuinely relevant article, we'll say so rather than inserting a link into unrelated content.
Niche edits vs a new guest post
A guest post gives you a page built around your message from the start, but it has to be written, reviewed, and then indexed from scratch. A niche edit skips that wait by using a page that's already established — the trade-off is that you're working within someone else's existing article rather than a blank page. See the full comparison in Guest Posts vs PBN Links, and read the complete details on our Niche Edits service page.
How to evaluate a niche edit opportunity
- Is the article genuinely on-topic? The site's category isn't enough — the article itself should relate to your page.
- Is the page healthy? It should return 200, be indexable and have a self-referencing canonical. Our canonical checker and HTTP status checker make this quick.
- How crowded is it? An article already packed with outbound commercial links is a weaker host than a clean one.
- Does the insertion read naturally? Ask to see the exact sentence. If it changes the subject abruptly, it isn't the right article.
